When working on the exhibition design for Ekstasis, the intention was to build an ethereal space where the artist could exist within his own creation surrounded by his works and the energy of making. The hybrid exhibit, located in person at 81 Leonard Gallery and through a virtual portal, extends the experience beyond physical constraints, allowing audiences to engage with Kevin Cobb’s creative world from multiple dimensions.
Kevin Cobb is a painter and digital artist based in New York. His art is concerned with perspective, framing, and illusion, as well as the nature of observation as it relates to self-consciousness, spiritual self-realization, and surveillance.
